The Pacific Shores Recovery Admissions Process
Asking for help takes courage, so we make our treatment process simple. When you’re ready to take the first step toward recovery, a Pacific Shores Recovery admissions counselor will guide you through insurance verification, gather necessary health and medical information, and prepare you for arrival at our homelike Southern California rehab facility.
What to Expect During Your Initial Consultation
Clinical Evaluation
During your initial call to our drug and alcohol treatment center, an admissions counselor will help you complete a brief 20- to 30-minute clinical evaluation. During this assessment, we will discuss the following admissions basics:
- Drug(s) of choice
- Frequency of drug or alcohol use
- Addiction treatment history
- Incidence of co-occurring behavioral issues (depression, anxiety, mood disorders or obsessive-compulsive disorder)
- Overall health condition or medical problems
Financial Guidance
After completing your initial evaluation, a Pacific Shores admissions counselor collects insurance and financial information to fast-track the admissions process. We will verify your insurance policy, review your benefits plan, and discuss applicable co-payments and payment options for residential or outpatient programs. After walking you through the finance process, step by step, our admissions team answers all of your questions and helps you determine the most affordable treatment option.
Travel Preparation
Whether you are a local resident or are traveling to Pacific Shores Recovery from outside California, our team helps coordinate flights and ground transportation. When needed, we will dispatch a driver for expedited pick-up. Each driver is highly trained to keep you (or your loved one) safe during the journey to our Newport Beach treatment center.
Facility Arrival
Upon arriving at our Orange County facilities, you will be welcomed by on-site staff and asked to complete a full intake assessment. Similar to your telephone intake, this evaluation will include more detail about substance use specifics, medical records and behavioral health or dual diagnoses.
What to Bring
We want you to be comfortable when you arrive at Pacific Shores Recovery. Please refer to the following packing list as you prepare for your stay.
