Newport Beach Addiction Treatment Options

Here at Pacific Shores Recovery, we offer a number of treatment options to patients wanting to break their bonds of addiction.

California Residential Treatment

We offer 30, 60, 90, & 180 Day Residential Treatment Programs. Residential treatment patients live in our facility for a specified amount of days. There are many benefits in residential treatment.

Newport Beach Intensive Outpatient Program - Our Intensive Outpatient program gives patients the option of living in our facility, or in sober living. They attend treatment Monday through Friday, participate in group and individual counseling sessions, and can stay with us on the weekend if they choose. They enjoy many of the residential day treatment amenities, but can still attend work or school.

Outpatient Program - Our outpatient program offers treatment three days per week. Patients attend individual counseling, group counseling, and are able to spend time with peers in residential treatment in order to form camaraderie. They have the option of living in our residential treatment facility, or they can stay in our sober living housing.

Orange County Sober Living - We have two sober living facilities, one in Costa Mesa, and the other in Newport Beach. There are many benefits to sober living.

Co-ed Treatment as Well as Gender Specific Treatment

Family Program - Addiction is a family disease, so we believe helping the entire family heal is important. Families are invited to come to our center for a weekend. Patients and their family have the opportunity to learn about addiction. We offer private counseling, as well as group sessions. This is a wonderful program designed to offer education and bring peace to families.

Dual Diagnosis - Many times patients come to us with more than one ailment. Addiction can be paired with mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorder, sex and intimacy issues, trauma, etc. We also treat grief/loss and emotional disregulation. Our staff specifically tailors treatment to each person who receives our help. No person is exactly the same, so no one should have the same treatment plan. Patients have access to doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors. We make sure you receive the best treatment possible.

What is Residential Treatment?

Residential treatment refers to a structured program where individuals live in a treatment facility for a specified duration, typically ranging from 30 to 90 days or more. During this time, individuals receive round-the-clock care, support, and evidence-based therapies to address their addiction and any underlying mental health issues.

Who Can Benefit from Residential Treatment?

Residential treatment is suitable for individuals who require a higher level of care due to the severity of their addiction or co-occurring disorders. It is especially beneficial for those who have attempted outpatient treatment but have not achieved lasting sobriety or encountered significant obstacles in their recovery journey.

How Long Does Residential Treatment Last?

The duration of residential treatment can vary depending on individual needs and progress. While 30 days is a common timeframe, longer stays may be recommended for individuals with more complex or chronic addiction issues. The treatment team at Pacific Shores Recovery conducts thorough assessments to determine the optimal length of stay for each client.

What Happens during Residential Treatment?

During residential treatment, clients participate in a range of therapeutic activities designed to address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction. These may include individual counseling, group therapy, experiential therapies, educational sessions, and holistic practices such as yoga or meditation. The treatment plan is personalized to meet the unique needs of each individual.

What Therapeutic Approaches are Used in Residential Treatment?

Residential treatment incorporates evidence-based therapeutic approaches to promote lasting recovery. These may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapy, and family therapy. Our team of experienced clinicians utilizes a combination of these approaches to address the complex nature of addiction.

Is Medical Detoxification Available in Residential Treatment?

Yes, medical detoxification is often a crucial initial step in residential treatment. It involves the safe and supervised withdrawal from substances under medical supervision. Our dedicated medical staff ensures that clients detox comfortably and safely, minimizing the risks associated with withdrawal symptoms.
